Dr. Coffman has been part of the Durham VAMC Health Services Research Biostatistics unit since October of 1997 and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Duke University Medical Center.  Her research activities have primarily focused on collaborative and applied statistical methodology across a broad spectrum of scientific disciplines including genetics, epidemiology, and health services research. In these areas, she has continued to apply and build expertise in understanding and analyzing  complicated longitudinal data structures in both randomized controlled trials and observational epidemiological studies (including clustered longitudinal data), and using and applying capture/recapture models.
