Dr. Jaime Hughes is a Medical Instructor and NBHLBI K12 Scholar in Dissemination and Implementation Science at the Department of Population Health Sciences, Duke University. Dr. Hughes is also a Senior Fellow at the Duke Center for the Study of Aging and Human Development, Duke University School of Medicine. She was previously a Research Health Scientist at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System/GRECC and a VA OAA-HSR&D postdoctoral fellow at the Durham VA COIN ADAPT where Dr. Hastings was her primary mentor. She has over 10 years of experience designing and delivering chronic disease management interventions, and her research focuses on the design and dissemination of effective, scalable health promotion interventions to enhance complex older adults’ functional capacity and ability to age in place.
